About the Company
MORAI is a company that develops simulation platforms necessary for validating the safety and reliability of autonomous driving systems, and independently develops and provides full-stack autonomous vehicle simulation solutions including core engines.
Through digital twin automatic construction technology based on high-definition (HD map) data, MORAI reproduces complex road environments identically in virtual environments, enabling customers to validate autonomous driving software and systems more accurately. MORAI's autonomous driving simulation builds digital twin environments identical to reality, including complex traffic situations, various weather conditions, and lighting conditions over time, and reproduces tens of thousands of situations that occur on actual roads.
The Challenge
Need to secure high-performance GPU-centric computing resources for autonomous driving simulator operation
When hosting on-site simulator competitions in existing local environments, long installation times are required and PC preparation is difficult
Resource limitations for large-scale parallel autonomous driving simulation
Amazon Web Services
In an environment where the number of autonomous driving simulator users is rapidly increasing, we chose AWS for its rapid simulation implementation and excellent user accessibility. Through close collaboration with the AWS Prototyping Team, we replaced the back-end of MORAI SIM Cloud with AWS RoboMaker, building an architecture capable of large-scale parallel processing.
MegazoneCloud's Role
Support for registering MORAI SIM MarketPlace for global expansion
Well-Architected Review to strengthen AWS infrastructure security and optimize operational resources
GPU cost reduction through Reserved Instance purchase recommendations and stable simulation support
The Benefits
Through AWS cloud, GPU resources for preparing new autonomous driving simulator competitions can now be used flexibly. Based on AWS's stable infrastructure, we have established an environment to support and operate various simulation competitions including the 'Mando Autonomous Driving Competition'. With the adoption of AWS RoboMaker, large-scale autonomous driving scenarios can now be processed in parallel, and understanding of AWS infrastructure, which was previously limited to EC2 environments, has been expanded to include serverless and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Additionally, by registering the MORAI SIM solution on AWS Marketplace, we have laid the foundation for global users to utilize the MORAI SIM solution, and have expanded the scope of global expansion.
